Linton Garden Gala!
Date: Monday 16 February, 2009
Once again, for the sixth time, Linton opens its gardens to the Nation... make sure Sunday 7th June 2009 is in your diary!

The sixth LINTON GARDEN GALA is planned for Sunday 7th June 2009, from 2pm—6pm. Most people drive through Linton on the A229 without seeing the magnificent views of The Weald of Kent which many of the houses enjoy, so this will be a rare opportunity to explore the village, appreciate its unique situation and also see some of the charming gardens which have been created.
There will be twelve gardens open for viewing during the afternoon, and visitors will be able to purchase one ticket to give admission to all of the open gardens. There will be free off street parking in three places close to the gardens, a plant stall, and teas for sale at two locations. St Nicholas Church will also be open as will the Allotments in Wheelers Lane.
Advance tickets will be available from 1st May, at only £4. (giving admission to all 12 gardens).
Tickets £5 on the day. Accompanied children are free.
For further information and advance ticket sales call Kath & Paul Cooper on 01622 741494 or via email .
The main objective of the GARDEN GALA is to raise funds to support the parish church of St Nicholas, and in previous years it has also provided a most enjoyable afternoon for many visitors to the village, as well as bringing residents in our village together, in working towards a day that will show our village at its best.
Please let your friends, neighbours and relatives know about this event. We can supply some small handouts for you to give to people, or notices to display outside your house, in your car or somewhere locally.
Click here for a poster that can be printed and displayed. If you are able to put one outside your house, or persuade your friendly local shopkeeper, publican etc to display a copy, it will really help us.
For the last Garden Gala, there were almost 1,000 visitors to the event. Help make it even more, this time!
