Grand Linton Litterpick collects 44 bags of rubbish!

The fourth Grand Linton Litterpick took place on Saturday morning 20 October 2018, organised by Cllr Julie Urquhart, and 17 volunteers collected litter along Heath Road, Linton Hill, and the lanes to the West including Westerhill, Vanity Lane, Barnes Lane, Lacey’s lane, Bonfleur lane and Redwall Lane. Altogether 44 large bags of rubbish were filled, together with sundry other items including an armchair.

Berry Gardens Ltd kindly hosted the event, not only providing five volunteer litterpickers but also offering refreshments afterwards, including some very impressive berries!

Have you been on a litterpick? If not, do give it a try. It is a very easy and surprisingly satisfying way to spend a morning helping to keep Linton Looking Lovely! All necessary equipment is provided and the filled bags are left at the roadside for Maidstone Borough council to collect. The next litterpick will take place in the new year, probably in the second half of January .. look out for details on this website and in the KM.
